Peace and blessings in the name of Jesus Christ. Here is a prayer I have authored in honor of Saint Carlos which has obtained the blessing of the Archbishop-Metropolitan. -Fr. Brian McIntyre, SCR
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
Saint Carlos,
Our patron and apostle to those who are rejected and those who are overlooked, you bore your cross for Christ, renouncing comfort for the cause of the common people. You turned from the kingdom of man to do the work of Christ; you spoke out on behalf of the oppressed and were persecuted for your sanctity. You recognized creation as coming from the hand of God, given to us His people and equated the abuse of land and resources as a vile act against humanity and God Himself. You denounced wealth gained from the exploitation of human beings and renounced ecclesiastical abuses, making you a true bishop of the people.
I pray that you may rest in the peace of Christ until the awaited judgment day cometh
Apostle to the poor, pray for us
A servant persecuted for Christ’s Name sake, pray for us
Bishop of the people, pray for us
Servant falsely imprisoned for Christ’s sake, pray for us
Worker in the vineyard of the Lord, pray for us
Servant of the Holy Eucharist, pray for us
True servant devoted to Our Lady, pray for us
Seeker of human rights and equality, pray for us
Protector of the forgotten, pray for us
Advocate of true liberation in Christ, pray for us
Advocate of ecumenism, pray for us
Servant of evangelism, pray for us
Chaste apostle, pray for us
Holy worker who condemned fascism, pray for us
Holy patron of the working class, pray for us
Advocate of freedom and necessary reform, pray for us
Servant speaking out for the salvation of souls, pray for us
Amen.
