BpAndre,
Within the ICAN communion of churches , i note a variation of liturgy. How does a particular church adopt a particular liturgy - is this designated by the individual bishop or contingent on the make-up of the parish? I think it is 'wise' of the church to hold fast to those liturgical rites that are steeped in history.
Secondly, i noticed that the Anglican church was absent from the list of the approved churches for communion; is this become of that church's 'ambivalence' towards tradition and the eucharist? ............................... Cool joe

Joe,

Each National Church makes that distinction, within the guidelines of the communion. Most churches use the Tridentine in the vernacular, or a derivation thereof. Many of the national churches were established pre-Vatican II, so this cones as no surprise.

The Anglican Communion does not require absolute belief in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, nor does it profess a belief in the Seven Sacraments in harmony with ancient Christian theology.
