BpAndre,
Within the ICAN communion of churches , i note a variation of liturgy. How does a particular church adopt a particular liturgy - is this designated by the individual bishop or contingent on the make-up of the parish? I think it is 'wise' of the church to hold fast to those liturgical rites that are steeped in history.
Secondly, i noticed that the Anglican church was absent from the list of the approved churches for communion; is this become of that church's 'ambivalence' towards tradition and the eucharist? ............................... joe |

Joe,
Each National Church makes that distinction, within the guidelines of the communion. Most churches use the Tridentine in the vernacular, or a derivation thereof. Many of the national churches were established pre-Vatican II, so this cones as no surprise.
The Anglican Communion does not require absolute belief in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, nor does it profess a belief in the Seven Sacraments in harmony with ancient Christian theology.
