Today I seen a disturbing television series talk about Britian's use of aborting and euthanizing babies who are disabled or would suffer of disability.

I was appalled and was brought to tears. What has our world come to?

His Holiness the late Pope John Paul II once wrote "we are a society of destruction." John Paul II also shared that our world has become so hateful, filled with greed, and other sinful nature that we as human beings have made it extremely hard for our own hearts to let God, the creator of the universe in. In one of his homilies, he shared that we as a society have invited Satan in, instead of letting God into our lives, our hearts and our souls.

In Britian, it is apparently according to the television show, common for parents and people in general to euthanize a baby who has a disability. If a parent doesn't like a child who may be deaf, they euthanize it. If they don't like a child who will be blind in one eye, they euthanize it.
The killing of a baby all because of a disabilty of any kind, is such a form of genocide.

After seeing this television show, I looked up at a picture of our Lady of Mercy and knew she must have tears in her eyes. I imagined her standing before her son, holding each baby euthanized because some parent didn' want their child to have a disabiltiy. I can see her holding each baby with tears, begging for mercy upon the parents who condoned the merciless killing of a life.

You know good brothers and sisters, my mother was sixteen years old, when she got pregnant. She was told to put me up for abortion or adoption. She stood her ground against her father, and said "I would rather die than commit the sin of abortion or giving up a child that has become a gift from God". My mother gave birth to a very sick young baby, three months premature, hard of hearing, heart problems, and suffering. Yet she and many relatives prayed daily, nonstop to our Lady, the Blessed Mother and to Blessed St. Michael for intercession.

My mother and her relatives got those prayers answered long ago. Yes, God granted them all a prayer of miracle. It was of course a miracle of all, that my mother got to see her little baby grow up to be called by our Lord to the priesthood. You see, it was me who was that baby, she was supposed to give up for an abortion 34 years ago. I am hard of hearing in both ears, heart problems, and many other difficulties growing up.

Thank God my mother stuck to her guns and refused to give in to Satan and his ways. Today good brothers and sisters, we need to fight back against the wages of death and destruction and bring others to Christ Jesus. We have the obligations as clergy to bring Christ to those who can not be with Him.

Remember what Jesus said to Simon Peter? "Simon Peter do you love me above all of these things? Yes Lord I do. Tend to my Sheep"

Go and tend to the sheep, and help us put an end to this merciless killing of a life.

Yours in Christ,
