A new book by +Seraphim Newman was just published and can be ordered from Lulu Books. This is a self publishing book system and is in itself very interesting. But the book: Flesh of Our Brethren is a very good study of four Old Catholic historical bishops of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. All of them were consecrated by the Syrian Orthodox Church: Ferrette, Alvares, Vilatte and de Nemeth. It is good history and research. Carefully done. He gives some previously unpublished material. I read it and recommend it.
